Incident Report Description

In villages surveyed in the Sibi District of Balochistan, a Relief International team estimated that over 40,000 people have been affected by the flooding of which 18,714 are children.

As in other parts of Balouchistan, people are currently using stagnant open water sources for bathing, drinking, cooking, and washing purposes.

Relief interventions should include the provision of food, clean drinking water, emergency shelter, sanitation, non-food items including hygiene supplies, and medical services. Water and sanitation (WASH) interventions will be a priority
to ensure children’s’ wellbeing. Furthermore,
these immediate health needs should include the provision of primary health services, emergency medicine and supplies, obstetric care for pregnant women, and rehabilitation of health facilities.
